Yanmar have introduced a design change for the sail drive anode.
Sail drive models SD20, SD50 and SD50-T, Yanmar have introduced a new 2-piece anode.
Once you convert to the 2 piece anode, future anode changes will not require the removal of the propeller.
The anodes are now made of aluminium which has better electric potential for corrosion protection than the previous zinc anode in seawater and fresh water.
Magnesium anodes are available for use in fresh water. Please email for prices.
